Black Friday. 10 Skincare & Makeup products I’ve LOVED this year.
I make lots of lists on the lead up to Black Friday from each retailer so I then only buy what I need to top up my kit or anything I’ve had my eye on to try for a while. This way it’s SO much easier come sale time & I don’t get distracted by things I don’t need.
I always reiterate to only buy products that you would like a top up of or if there’s a gap in your makeup bag. There’s no need to have 5 different concealers/foundations if you’re not a makeup artist or this isn’t your job! Pleae choose consciously. Milk Makeup | Cooling Water Jelly Tint (5g)
My every day & pretty much the only blusher I use on myself. I have the shade Chill, but would love to try the others too. I’m in love with it’s lasting power & natural finish. Rare Beauty | Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush
I have shades Cheer & Hope. Cheer has a lil hint of peach & light pink & Hope is more of a warm toned , deeper pink. I love these over the top of liquid blushers as a blush topper they are a highlighter / blush hybrid. Super pigmented so go steady! Buy them here at Sephora or Space NK.
Charlotte Tilbury | Airbrush Flawless Finish
My favourite setting powder. It doesn’t dry your skin out as it’s loaded with hyaluronic acid. Sets makeup, but keeps that glow. Use a flat, dense brush to pack this under eyes & around the nose to set & a fluffy brush to dust elsewhere. It will make your makeup last so much longer! Fenty | Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
This lipgloss has been SO popular in my kit this year. Especially the shade Fenty Glow. The shade dulls down the pink of your lips & creates a beautiful nude shade with a high shine finish. It’s very comfortable to wear & hydrating too. I have shades: Fenty Glow, RiRi & Fu$$y. The heat versions are amazing too if you’re looking for plumped lips. Glossier | Generation G Lipstick
I absolutely LOVEEEE these formulas. These are for you if you don’t like wearing lipstick. They create a sheer wash of colour that looks like a chic, parisian blotted lip & also have the skincare benefits of a balm so are a treat for your lips too. ELF | Camo Liquid Blush
I adore this blush! It’s long lasting & sets really creamy. Elf comstantly bring out amazing products - I have a huge collection from them, but this is my favourite launch from them so far. ILIA | Matte Liquid Powder Tint in Cork
I’ve only been introduced to Ilia this year & so far I’m loving everything I’ve tried! I had to add this one to the list as I’ve used it on SO many clients this year. It’s a beautiful, cooler shade that’s the perfect no makeup, makeup base. It’s also great for building looks on top of as a long lasting base & way to build colour + contrast to the eye. The Ordinary | Natural Moisturizing Factors and PhytoCeramides Cream 100ml
An incredibly hydrating, rich moisturiser. A more rich formula to the OG Moisturising Factors formula. My skin absolutely loves this. The Ordinary | Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner 100ml
I pretty much use this on everyone during skin prep for makeup. It’s a gentle toner that seems to really help with acne as well as hydrate the skin beautifully. Used differently to a usual toner - you add to the palms of your hands and then press it into your skin, then leave it on. Ren | Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm 30ml
Everyone using tretinoin & retinoids should get this! On the days I don’t use my retinoids I use this over a serum to slug my skin (it’s Important to not use this over retinols!!). Skin Rocks | The Antioxidant, The Gel Cleanser & The Gentle Acid
I have so much love for the Skin Rocks range created by skincare icon Caroline Hirons. Every product is beautiful in it’s own right, but out of all the range I’ve tried these are my favourites. The Antioxidant is so creamy & glow giving before any moisturiser - unique as most antioxidants feel sticky on the skin. My skin is outrageously glowy since using this. A must have if you’re feeling like you have dull skin that needs a BOOST. The Gel Cleanser is my favourite cleanser from the range so far. It is super hydrating & the texture is quite addictive - my favourite second cleanse & morning cleanse. No more tight skin after cleansing, this leaves your skin looking beautiful. The Gentle Acid is my favourite for my skin. I love how it gives my skin a little tingle so I know it’s doing something, but NEVER irritates. Beauty Pie | Super Healthy Skin™Featherlight UVA/UVB SPF 50 Sunscreen + Primer
A constant SPF repurchase. A formula everyone gets on with. Amazing under makeup as it’s a primer too. Non-pore blocking, contains lots of skin-loving ingredients such as peptides. I know it’s winter, but SPF should be worn all year round. You’ll thank yourself in years to come. Buy it here.
Lanolips | Lemonaid Lip Treatment 12.5g
I wouldn’t use any other lipbalm now. Containing the trifector of an emollient (softens & soothes), humectant (attracts hydration) & occulisive (seal to stop moisture loss). My clients LOVE this!
